We dove all day Wednesday. I laid the transect lines and surveyed so that was four dives and several hundred meters of swimming. The first site was a beautiful strip of ‘aggregate reef’ at the top of the wall. The second site, not so nice in the shallows. Unfortunately it looks like a couple of big boats have anchored there over the years and smashed it up.
Thursday we took off and played tourists with some visitors down for a cousin’s wedding. In the water at the sand bar and some snorkeling at the reef. Plus Suzanne made corned beef sandwiches for lunch. Mmmmm. Unfortunately we took so long at all of the stops that we didn’t have time to sail back, which is always nicer than running with the engines, even if the sail was up to give the boat a bit of a push.
